We reach out through participation in
the PVEN food pantry,
Meals on Wheels,
our Annual AppleFest,
Relay for Life, where we walk and provide water for all walkers
sending care packages,
and other “bridge building” activities.With our time, talent, and money, we support organizations such as
the Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network,
the Pregnancy Center of the Poconos,
Pocono Youth for Christ,
and Habitat for Humanity.We host community events and groups that need a place to meet, including
Boy and Girl Scouts
YMCA meetings and lessons,
a number of AA meetings,
the Youth Advocacy Center,
blood drives,
and community recitals.Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these
who are members of my family, you did it to me.

Because we are part of the Presbyterian Church (USA):
our hands reach farther and our dollars stretch more,
we have brothers and sisters in Christ in place to help others all around the world,
we work together to build up each other as well as other people in places near and far.
Therefore encourage one another and
build up each other, as indeed you are doing.

Our reach extends well beyond northeastern Pennsylvania.
At times, hands-on mission work takes us out of our local area to places that can use our help.
Financially, we support a Campus Crusade worker in Virginia,
a seminary in New Jersey,
work accomplished nationally through denominational programs,
and other needs that touch our hearts.
Learn to do good; seek justice,
rescue the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.

In addition to the great international mission work accomplished by the PC(USA),
we make our own contributions to world mission.Through the 30-hour Famine (led by our youth), we fight hunger around the world.
Through Compassion International we improve the life of a child we have come to know and love.
Through a church partnership program, we and a sister church in Romania share our faith with one another.
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
