His Kids Club
This group for grades 1-6 meets twice a month, usually on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the church. We have a whole lot of fun with an age appropriate bible lesson, fellowship, crafts and games. This awesome group is building strong friendships with each other and with Jesus. Please join us and bring a friend!
"Let the little children
come to me, and do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.
Luke 18:16
Youth Group
Our youth group for grades 7-12 also meets twice a month. For the convenience of families, it meets the same time as His Kids. We have bible study, games, snacks, a lot of fun, and a lot of growth. Our kids have a strong bond with each other and welcome all newcomers. We have service projects throughout the year – the 30 Hour Famine for hunger, a Christmas in April mission project, and more. There are also lots of fun activities like retreats, lock-ins, snow tubing and game nights, often with other area Youth Groups. These wonderful teens are forming deep bonds while building a strong foundation in Jesus Christ. Come join us!
O God, from my youth you have taught
me,
and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds.
Psalm 71:17
Bible study/ Small groups
In addition to our Sunday morning classes, we have many small groups (usually three to twelve people) who work together to become better disciples of Jesus Christ. We’re continually forming more of these small groups. All who wish to study God’s Word are welcome – including you! Since some of these groups are seasonal, please contact the Church Office for locations and updated information.
Men can join the Men’s Group for study during the 9:30 a.m. Sunday school hour and/or join them those Sunday mornings when they also meet for breakfast at 7:00 a.m.
Men and women come on Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m. to study the book of Acts and on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. to study Living on the Ragged Edge based on the writings in Ecclesiastes.
Purpose Driven Women laugh and learn and take time together with God on Mondays at 7 p.m.
Chestnut Hill Women meet for exercise, fellowship, and study every other Tuesday. Weather permitting, walking begins at 11:30 a.m. (for those who want), while talking starts at noon.
Classes about Faith and the Holy Spirit meet periodically on Mondays at 7 PM to focus on spiritual growth.
Seekers women meet the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m.
Men and women who are Young at Heart gather over meals.
Whenever Plant and Praise meets (as needed), gardens are tended along with hearts.
A Welcome Class is formed several times a year for people who wish to explore their God-given gifts, their place in God’s plan, PVPC, and a Presbyterian perspective on faith and life.
Other short-term classes are held on Sunday mornings and at other times.
Let us consider how we may spur one
another on
toward love and good deeds.
Hebrews 10:24
The Confirmation Class provides an opportunity for young people to explore the Bible and their own faith and understanding of God. With the support of a mentor, the Pastor, and the Family of God, they develop their biblical and spiritual strength until they can make a personal decision about following Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Vacation Bible School – Every summer the wonderful volunteers of our church take a week out of their busy schedules to have a awesome time of fellowship with our children of the community. It's a very exciting and fun way to celebrate Jesus!!!
Let
no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example
in speech and
conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
